Everyone learns at their own pace, including you and your dog! Single lessons & consultations are a great way to dip your toes in the water and see if professional dog training/behavior consulting is for you. Our larger packages are perfect for pups who have several things to work on, and our smaller package might be enough for working through a single goal or two. Many factors influence the speed of progress including how much time you have to dedicate to training, what the environment is like, and things out of our control like underlying medical issues. We can provide a clearer picture of how much training you and your dog may need once we meet!
We provide in home services and also train in public depending on goals.

Equipment we DON’T use: prong collars, shock collars, slip leads, anything that causes pain, stress, or fear. Please know that we also won’t judge you for your use of equipment currently or in the past. We just ask that you have an open mind!
We accept cash, check, card, or Venmo for in person services. Virtual clients will receive an invoice via email to be paid at least 24 hours before your first lesson. Payment plans are available for packages through Afterpay or written agreement with trainer.
We believe dog training should be accessible to everyone, and offer a limited number of sliding scale services to clients who need financial assistance. Email megan@trainyour.dog for more info.
We work with dogs of any shape, size, or age! Puppies can get started with training and socialization as soon as you bring them home. We require puppies be at home for 2 weeks before in person services, but encourage you to use our virtual services for a new puppy consultation! We love working with senior dogs, and old dogs can absolutely learn new tricks!
While we will certainly strive to achieve your training goals efficiently and want you to be satisfied with our services, it would be unethical to guarantee any specific behaviors or results by working with us, since dogs are living creatures.
We like to compare changing your dog’s behavior to planting seeds in a garden to nurture, and less like fixing a broken car.
The CCPDT also prohibits providing guarantees of behavior or results in the code of conduct that we adhere to as certified dog trainers.
