Our dog training methods are based on the principles and concepts of learning and behavior, having a clear understanding of dog body language, and ensuring both you and your dog’s needs are being met.
We methodically use enrichment, reinforcement, and changes in environment to increase or decrease behavior. Reinforcement can be treats, toys, play, or anything else that your dog enjoys! We pride ourselves on achieving your training goals without the use of aversive tools like shock or prong collars, or methods that involve fear and intimidation.
Training with rewards doesn't mean that we don't set rules or boundaries. We place an emphasis on creating a clear communication system between you and your dog, so your dog knows what is expected, and you have the skills you need to stop challenging or difficult behaviors.
Positive reinforcement based dog training makes for a meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship with your dog, and we believe in creating the same type of meaningful relationship with each client (human and dog!).
We love the relationships we form with our clients, and believe your success and our communication directly correlate with each other. We're always here to answer questions that come up between lessons or training sessions, and we are truly thankful to get to help dog guardians every day.
